ABOUT LIBERTY DIAMONDS

Liberty Diamonds was established by David Lob in 1982. Growing up in South Africa, he was always intrigued by the shiny rocks that made his Country famous. So at an early age of 19 he literally jumped at the opportunity to take on an apprenticeship to learn Diamond Cutting and Gemology. His superiors quickly took notice of his exceptional skills, and it was not long thereafter that he accepted a dream Job in Orange County, California to be he head foreman of the largest Diamond Cutting firm in America! After relocating his young family to the States, David decided to fulfill his dream and opened “Liberty Diamonds.”

Today in the Irvine location, David is still cutting diamonds and helping customers choose beautifully cut diamonds. David’s youngest son, Troy Lob, shares his father’s
passion for diamonds and fine jewelry and has been working with his father since 2000. Troy loves merging technology with jewelry has helped make Liberty Diamonds who they are today with two locations in Irvine and Los Angeles. Liberty Diamonds started in the industry as a diamond wholesale and cutting firm and slowly moved into retail through referrals, so our customers benefit from having knowledgeable gemologists, skilled diamond cutters, and design experts serving them as their consultants. This gives our store more of college classroom feel with the professor there on hand rather than a high-pressure sales environment.

We are proud to carry the finest-cut diamonds available, and we are eager to share our knowledge and enthusiasm with you.
