David Lob Bio
Liberty Diamonds was started in 1982 by David Lob, a Master diamond cutter from South Africa. David who grew up in South Africa always had a passion for the little shiny rocks that made his Country famous! As the opportunity arose in 1980 David was fortunate to be chosen to manage a diamond cutting facility in Orange County, California where he relocated his entire family. In 1981, the cutting facility hastily shut down and David hand picked the best cutters to begin a small venture which became “Liberty Diamond Cutters, Inc.” His passion for diamonds has clearly rubbed off on his youngest son Troy Lob, who runs the Los Angeles branch by appointment. Today you will still find David cutting diamonds on a weekly basis and helping customers choose their diamond.

Troy Lob Bio
When Troy is not running the Los Angeles branch he is helping out his father were they work closely together in the Irvine location. Troy who excelled at becoming a “GIA Graduate Gemologist” now teaches his father about the latest advancements in the industry and keeps up with all the latest trends and fashions. As well he is a bit of a proportion geek and loves studying and reading everything about his industry so he is a walking hub of knowledge about anything related to the business. Since Troy has become the main diamond buyer he has established relationships with some of the top diamond cutters in the World whose sons are know taking over their fathers' businesses. This giving “Liberty Diamonds” the advantage of getting the first pick of the certified inventories and finding the diamonds with the best proportions and placement of the inclusions. Troy has the knack of finding the SI clarity diamonds that loupe as nice as VS+ quality diamonds, without sacrificing the cut attributes. As Troy puts it “Growing up in the business truly gave me the edge that helped me excel at what I do, and I am passionate to share my knowledge with whoever will listen”. We have grown the business to provide an exceptional service to our industry from Diamond Cutting to personal Custom Designs in all metals and designing methods.

Cristina Pucci Bio
Cristina has been designing jewelry and helping clients choose or craft their perfect engagement ring since early 2002. She started with a love for art and jewelry design which eventually led to her love of diamonds and gemstones. She has studied diamonds as much as possible, from the gemological arts of cutting and analyzing proportions, all the way to the history of how diamonds were discovered and used in different cultures. In 2004 she continued her formal education becoming a GIA Diamonds Graduate. After attending many jewelry trade shows, she became fascinated by the CAD/CAM technique of designing jewelry. She saw in it new possibilities for creating custom pieces for her clients at a level of detail and scope previously unavailable using traditional methods. In 2006 Cristina was certified in Matrix, the jewelry industry’s leading CAD software and now serves as the resident jewelry designer, fusing the latest technology with the time honed skills of Liberty’s Master Jewelers and Cutters. Today she focuses her time on designing the in-house jewelry line and working one on one with clients to create their own one of a kind engagement ring or other piece of custom jewelry for that special occasion.

Jared W. Olen Bio

Since the age of 17, Jared has worked continuously in various facets of the jewelry industry.  At the age of 18, Jared started working for a fine jewelry store.  He became an Assistant Manager for a major jewelry chain store while in college and also attained the designation of Certified Diamontologist from the Diamond Council of America.  After graduating college summa cum laude with a B.A. in Spanish, Jared moved from Massachusetts to California to study gemology at the Gemological Institute of America on-campus in Carlsbad, CA.  There he earned the nickname "Dr. Diamonds" for his passion for diamonds and diamond grading.  Jared graduated at the top of his class at GIA as a Graduate Gemologist and Accredited Jewelry Professional.  Before working at Liberty Diamonds, Jared worked at a prestigious jeweler at the famed South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA serving the glitterati of Orange County.  He was eager to join the team at Liberty to further the company's website and client education and to help Liberty's customer select the finest diamonds and gemstones.  Jared is now based out of the Los Angeles office.  Please email him to schedule an appointment.
