Liberty Diamonds started in the industry as a Diamond Wholesale and Cutting firm and even since moving into the retail sector we have never left our roots. Our customers benefit from having skilled Gemologists and Cutters serving them as their consultants giving the time in our stores more of a college classroom feel with the Professor there on hand rather than a high pressure sales pitch. We are proud of the diamonds we carry and we are eager to share our knowledge and enthusiasm with our customers. As an added benefit to shopping directly from a Diamond Wholesaler and Cutter, besides the cheaper prices, is the array of cutting edge technologies we can employ to not only help our customers understand the value of what they’re purchasing and how to compare it with our competitors but to make in house the very best custom rings and jewelry in the industry. The following sections of this website will give you a virtual tour of our operations and the technology we employ. You can watch our Master Diamond Cutter take you through the process of cutting a diamond on location at our Irvine office. You can learn about the Sarin ™ machines and software we use to create 3D images and maps of our diamonds to ensure that we sell stones of only the highest quality and value and to aid in appraisals and custom jewelry design. You can also learn more about the process of creating custom rings and jewelry using our CAD and CAM systems. So now sit back, relax, and prepare for a journey into the world of advanced diamond and precious metal production and refinement.
In today’s competitive marketplace all businesses must embrace Technology to compete, though it is how they utilize that technology that sets them apart from the pack. It is our goal to continue to learn and utilize the latest technology in our industry so we can continue to be on the “cutting edge”, and provide our clients with an accurate and precisely finished product and an educational experience they will never forget.
Technology we use:
Sarin Technology “Diascan”- Taking the trust out of buying a diamond. When a jeweler mentions his diamond is ideal cut or performs better than an average stone, that’s his opinion! How can he prove that statement as true? Utilizing a true diamond scanner allows the end user to compare cut attributes amongst multiple published laboratories cut parameters. The proof is in the technology! Sarin “DIAscan” imports a detailed 3-D image of your diamond into the computer with multiple sources of information, such as “Fire, Brilliance and Scintallation” reports, GIA “Facetware” Cut grades, AGS cut grades, flat girdle layout, and even a re-cut feature.
Laser Welder - This technology is used for multiple industries such as Dentistry, Aerospace, and of course for Jewelry. Laser technology produces a sharp, focused light beam that consistently melts a very small area of metal very similar to a micro sized welding joint. Unlike traditional soldering which applies heat/fire to stones which can be burnt and to the metal which can in turn become more brittle? The advantage of using a laser welder is that very little heat is generated at the weld point allowing users to easily weld complex, heat sensitive intricate parts while providing unparalleled flexibility. Ultimately thus saving us time, and increasing the accuracy and quality of the finished product.
CAD/CAM Technology
This technology is widely used in many industries such as auto, dentistry, and of course for Jewelry. Unlike traditional methods of casting a hand carved wax mold, we now create the custom item in the computer utilizing “Computer Aided Design” 3-D software! This allows us to generate a finished ring in the metal color of choice and with any colored gemstones or diamonds for exact visual representation of the finished product. This allowing clients who are more visual, a comfort level that could not be meet with the traditional methods.
