CAD/CAM Jewelry Design
We can start with just an idea, a sketch, or even a photo from which we can create a unique custom design tailored to your desires. After the design concept has been sketched out and a rough working concept has solidified, our CAD (Computer Aided Design) specialist will create a 3-D computer model to show you your design. You will be able to look at the high resolution virtual model in a variety of light on our large screen monitors. After the design is approved by you, we will have the 3-D computer design come to life in the form of a computer milled wax. The wax is an actual-size model which will be used to cast into your metal of choice: Platinum, 18k White Gold, 18k Yellow Gold, 14k White Gold, 14k Yellow Gold, 18kt Rose Gold, or 14k Rose Gold. Once the wax has been approved we send the 3-D CAD file to one of our trusted associates who will then utilize a process known as Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) for the final milling process. Your piece will then return to our Master Jewelers and Cutters for its final refinement. You can be as involved or uninvolved in this process as you wish though many of our customers enjoy the collaborative process and grow quite attached to these pieces and their personalities are truly reflected in the final product. We at Liberty Diamonds are pleased to announce that we have a powerful new 3D jewelry design tool that for the first time makes YOU the designer.  We've always been able to work with our customers on custom designs from a simple sketchpad to high end CAD systems but now we can put the mouse in your hands and let you design your own custom rings and pendants using a starting point from our catalog of designs; with as little or as much help from our designers as you want.
